AMAYA was born in Bolivia, in lands where coffee grows quietly.
High in the mountains of Corani, Samaipata, and the Yungas, entire families have cultivated coffee for generations. They plant, care for, and harvest each tree using traditional practices, living in harmony with nature and preserving the biodiversity of their environment.
For decades, these communities have been the heart of Bolivian coffee. They understand the land, the climate, and its natural rhythms. They protect the forests and cultivate coffee at high altitudes, producing exceptional beans. Yet their work has remained largely invisible to the world, without the recognition or value it truly deserves.
AMAYA was created to change that reality.
The name AMAYA, which means spirit, energy, what is grows in the altitude in Aymara, represents the living energy of these communities, their culture, and their deep connection to the land. Our purpose is not only to export specialty coffee, but to give visibility, voice, and recognition to the people behind every bean.
We are a Bolivian-German family business united by a shared passion for coffee and a deep commitment to the families who produce it. We work directly with coffee-growing communities in regions such as Corani, Samaipata, and the Yungas, creating real opportunities that improve their well-being and that of future generations.
Each lot of AMAYA coffee carries more than quality, aroma, and flavor — it carries stories, identities, and territories. We connect these communities with international markets through transparency and fair trade, ensuring that the value of their work returns to the people who make it possible.
Bolivia may produce coffee in smaller quantities than other countries, but this is precisely what makes it exceptional. Each bean is unique, exotic, and deeply connected to its origin.
For those who wish to experience coffee at its source, we also offer guided visits during harvest season, creating a meaningful connection between people, land, and coffee.
